It's All God's Fault
I couldn't help but get a laugh out of this article, from the ludicrously misnamed American Thinker website:

From a biblical point of view, one would be hard pressed to deny that pestilence, "lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy winds" are doing someone's bidding, but that Someone does not appear to be President Obama."
Yes, indeed, the world has reached the point where even the wingnuts can't deny that something is wrong with our climate; but never let it be said that the world's scientists were right and Exxon was wrong- no, it can't be global warming. God did it, to punish Obama. Yeah, that's the story, God did it. Here's some of the incontestable proof:
"On Memorial Day Obama flouted tradition and chose Chicago over custom. America's high and mighty president flew home to the Windy City for the weekend. The plan: In lieu of Arlington National Cemetery, attend a perfunctory ceremony in Elwood, Illinois. The message: Obama acquiesces to no one.
As a result, an unambiguous message was sent to Barack. "He [who makes] darkness his covering...the dark rain clouds of the sky. Out of the brightness of his presence clouds advanced, with hailstones and bolts of lightning" and subsequently, Obama's premeditated arrangements were rained out."
Let's just leave out the fact that this guy was lying about the supposed "tradition" of the President going to Arlington, a "tradition" that was "flouted" by Bush and Reagan too. Just concentrate on the notion that God has nothing better to do than send hailstones and bolts of lightning crashing onto an entire city, because Obama chose to honor our veterans at the wrong cemetery. Yes indeed, that explanation is infinitely more believable than global warming. Enough with the quotes already, but it is apparently also a sign of God's wrath that it rained one day on Obama's vacation- something that would never happen in the normal course of events.
No word yet about the climate effects of Bush killing a million innocent civilians in Iraq, and destroying our economy. Apparently, that isn't enough to earn him a spring shower, or even some unusual low clouds. But then, we all know that God is a Republican.
