Today's Right Wing Terrorist

This is getting pretty boring:

"DALLAS — A Texas man faces charges after he filed documents in federal court threatening to use deadly force to stop an abortion if the U.S. Supreme Court didn't immediately act to outlaw the practice, federal officials said Monday.Erlyndon Joseph "Joey" Lo, 27, of Plano, filed documents there Friday saying his religious beliefs entitled him to use deadly force to prevent an abortion."

They barely miss a day. I know they are as stupid as a bunch of boards, but how long can this go on before one of them gets away with playing out their sick fantasies? I'm not so young any more, but I have never ever seen anything like this in my life.

And while we are dealing with things that have become nearly daily occurrences, how about this:

"A Texas priest is accused of forcing a teen boy into sex at gunpoint, reported local newspaper The San Antonio Express-News on April 9.

Fr. John M. Fiala was a parish priest in Rocksprings, a community in the San Antonio area, when he allegedly subjected a teenager in his parish to repeated episodes of sexual abuse, according to a suit that has been brought against outgoing Archbishop José Gomez, who is accused of covering up the abuse. Gomez is slated to assume the position of Archbishop of Los Angeles as of May, the paper reported."

It's enough to make you believe that armageddon is just around the corner, except that, as this idea is being promoted by the right wing, we know it can't be true.

Magpie - anything's possible in Texas, trust me. Having said that, I need to add that most folks are pretty decent. Maybe it's a case of the extremes are more extreme?

Hamas

  Of ocurse I am going to take the opportunity to talk about the Hamas attack on Israel.   First, I'd like to talk about my background, or baggage, regarding the country.   I have lived in Israel, some years ago.   This was not for religious reasons; I spent several months there working on a movie.   During pre-production, weeks of location scouting and shooting the movie, I was all over the country, and spent a fair amount of time in the West Bank, where we also shot.   This included a lot of places that normal tourists would not see, including predominantly Arab areas such as East Jerusalem, the Arab quarter of the old city, Ramla and the southern part of Jaffa, which is predominantly Arab.   It also included heavily Orthodox areas like Mea Shearim.   I dealt with Israeli Arabs, Palestinians and Bedouins.     Here are a few things I believe I learned there:   First of all, the Palestinians I knew were perfectly normal people with the same interest in living a safe, secure
