We're Waiting, U. N.

From Al Jazeera:

"At least one Egyptian border guard has been killed and 35 Palestinians wounded along the Gaza border during fierce clashes with Egyptian security forces.

Egyptian forces opened fire to disperse stone-throwing protesters who had gathered on the Gaza side of the Rafah border crossing, witnesses and medics said."

I'm holding my breath until I hear that the U. N. has passed a resolution condemning Egypt as a racist apartheid regime.

While I'm at it, let me remind you that, before the 1967 war, Gaza was a part of Egypt. When Israel gave the Sinai back, Egypt refused to take Gaza, leaving the problem to the Israelis. So, they get all the blame for Egypt's irresponsibility, and if the Egyptians feel like shooting at Palestinians, that seems to be just fine.

By the way, when people talk about Israel going back to "pre-1967 borders," why does that never seem to include Egypt taking Gaza back?
